ITINERARY
- Monday, September 17
This morning we catch the 6:45 am direct
fl ight from Victoria to Toronto. We then transfer
by coach to Stratford for a five-night stay
at the Arden Park Hotel.
- Tuesday, September 18
At leisure in Stratford. This evening we see
our first performance by the Stratford Festival
company. (B)
- Wednesday, September 19
Another day at leisure to check out the sites
in Stratford. Tonight we attend our second
performance. (B)
- Thursday, September 20
Today we enjoy a matinee performance, with
dinner this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D)
- Friday, September 21
Today we have our last performance at Stratford. (B)
- Saturday, September 22
We depart Stratford by coach this morning
and first head for the large and colourful
Mennonite market at St Jacob’s, with time
afterward to look at the village and have
lunch on our own. Then we proceed to the
Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake,
where we stay five nights. (B)
- Sunday, September 23
At leisure in Niagara-on-the-Lake; in the
evening our first performance by the Shaw Festival company. (B)
- Monday, September 24
After breakfast we take a coach excursion to
Niagara Falls, which will include a trip on the
“Maid of the Mist” on the waters below the
Falls. Afterwards we visit the Brock Monument
and stop for lunch before we return to
Niagara-on-the-Lake; the evening is free. (B,L)
- Tuesday, September 25
Today we have a morning performance at the
Royal George Theatre and an evening performance
at either the Court House or Festival
Theatre. (B)
- Wednesday, September 26
Our final performance at the Shaw Festival
this afternoon; the rest of the day is free until
our farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
- Thursday, September 27
This morning we leave Niagara-on-the-Lake
for Toronto Airport to catch our direct flight to
Victoria. En route we make an extended stop
at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg,
with its excellent collection of modern Canadian
Art. (B)
