Highlighted on this trip are the festivities of the lively and colourful 'Desert Festival' held once a year in Jaisalmer - one of the most fascinating towns in Rajasthan - it's setting reminiscent of "1001 nights"! This festival is not as well known as Pushkar and therefore not as commercial or besieged with tourists!
Also featured are the unique and historical havelis, fortresses and palaces of Rajasthan - our accommodation while in Rajasthan. The buildings have been restored and offer amenities for your comfort and enjoyment- all rooms uniquely different. Enjoy the delicious Rajasthani cuisine with daily buffet breakfasts' and dinners. An afternoon excursion on camelback takes us to the Bishnoi villages where we have been invited to lunch at a local home. And.....a photographers dream....a camel excursion over the vast sand dunes of Sam at sunset! |
